FOOD IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Cultivating opportunity for youth through the power of food.
Martha founded A Longer Table (formerly The Patachou Foundation) in 2013 by serving wholesome meals alongside afterschool programs in the Indianapolis school system. Today, food is still at the center of what they do, but their work goes beyond the plate. A Longer Table is transforming school food with fresh meals and future leaders. A Longer Table partners with schools to redesign how food is served to strengthen outcomes for youth, school staff, and the community. They train high schoolers in real-world food careers, and they collaborate with school food teams to design menus and models that reflect their communities. Because change that lasts is built together. This is how we feed the future.
